When is a good time to visit Franschhoek?
Franschhoek is the perfect year round destination as each season offers its own unique charm. Spring and summer (September to February) are the best times to visit the Franschhoek valley as the days are longer and the late setting sun means you can dine al fresco under the stars. Wintertime brings cooler weather over the valley which makes sitting by our log fire fireplace and sipping on our very own Estate produced red wine even more appealing. The Manor House suites are climate controlled complete with underfloor heated bathrooms to make your stay during winter as comfortable as possible.
What meal services are provided?
Breakfast is included in your stay and we serve a generous continental or hot breakfast option daily. Franschhoek is considered as the Culinary and Wine Capital of South Africa with ample restaurants, diners, and cafes to choose from. Alternatively, we can book a private chef to cater for all your dietary needs while you enjoy the comfort and privacy L’Amitié Wine Estate is known for.
What facilities are offered at the hotel?
Apart from the in-room luxuries, L’Amitié Wine Estate offers a complimentary onsite laundry facility, a spacious dining and lounge area with a log-burning fireplace, an outside under roof BBQ, a private spring water filled climate controlled infinity pool, and beautifully manicured gardens to relax and enjoy a good book from our library.

Airport transfers can be arranged by out trusted partner Absolute Transfers at an additional charge. We will require your flight details and number of guests to be transferred in order to make the booking for you. It is your personal responsibility to ensure you do not miss your transfer. Alternatively, our reservations office will supply you with driving directions from the airport to L’Amitié Wine Estate (reservations@lamitie.co.za).

We prefer our guests to book their own tickets at the Wine Tram offices as they will require credit card details and secured information.
What security protocols do you have to guarantee our safety?
No establishment worldwide can guarantee your safety, but we at L’Amitié Wine Estate have gone the extra mile to make your stay as safe as possible. The Estate parameter fencing is electrified with 24 hour monitored thermal cameras. All access is controlled and monitored by a security guard, and the Manor House is fitted with a state of the art alarm system. The Estate Manager also resides onsite.
